Spotify for less than a buck?

Spotify brought a new low-costing option for all the music lovers. New plan offers streaming for as low as $0.99 a month.

New offered plan “Spotify Plus” was discovered by a reader of The Verge tech website and later confirmed by Spotify staff.

It combines the elements of the free version and Spotify Premium. In the new plan advertising remains, but there are no restrictions on skipping tracks and turning the ones you want to hear right away. In the free version Spotify allows you to skip up to 6 songs per hour.

The price of the new subscription plan is just a tenth of what Premium costs in the U.S.A.

Spotify confirms that it is in the test stage and is being advertised at different prices as a part of an experiment.

At the time the new tariff plan is available only to a limited number of users in the US and we can not prove that it will be launched in the same form in which it is being tested now, - says the representative of the streaming service.

Also it is unknown if the service will expand the geography of their new subscription plan.
